Photo Catch-Up

We just downloaded a bunch of photos, so I thought I would post a few. Enjoy!

Brynn with Spike, our bearded dragon. He has grown a ton since we got him (4 years ago?).

Kam with the 50cc at the ranch. SO much fun!

Love this picture!

Max had a pirate birthday with his friends.

Brynn will change into a new princess dress about 10 times each day. She is going through her "Snow White" phase right now.

Adam is in soccer and he rocks! He makes at least 5 goals each game. The kid has skills!

Look at that background! We live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

We just had our school carnival and I was asked to dress as the Mad Hatter. Beard is a bit long for the part, but I've been growing it for Mustache May. I'll post some awesomely horrid photos soon.
The family on Easter. Max did not want to take this photo.

Family Pics

Here's the fam down at the ranch. Sometimes you take what you can get on the family picture. By the way, we do not believe in hair product while at the ranch (apparently).

In this picture we asked the kids to do a crazy face. Instead, they just look thoroughly depressed.

I love Harry Potter!

I just love Harry Potter. I fought this series when it first came out because I always have a hard time liking what is popular. But Lindsay got me the set (first three at the time) when I graduated with my bachelors. I fell in love with them and looked forward to each book as they came out. They have so much heart. J.K. Rowling is a master. They are so well written and I'm amazed at how well they were mapped out. They have surpassed the Prydain series as my all time favorites. I could read these books again and again.

Brynn's Accident

Last week when we got home from the ranch, Brynn just about lost her finger. She was playing in the garage and got her finger trapped between the axle and chain on Adam's bike. It took a good 2 or 3 minutes to get it out (it felt like 10) because the bolts were stripped and we couldn't loosen them. Lindsay is holding her and I'm struggling to free her--it was just awful. There is nothing worse than your child going through pain. When we got her finger out it was flat. We rushed to the emergency room thinking that we lost the top of her finger. Luckily nothing was broken or seriously damaged. She got a stitch and a couple stickers. This was our first experience with something like this and I did not hold well under the pressure.

So glad she didn't lose the tip of her finger. Lindsay and I worried she would end up being a Seinfeld episode and no one would want to date her--"She had a nub for a finger."

Mumford and Sons

Nothing is better than finding a great new album! I have been loving this album from Mumford and Sons. A mix of Frightened Rabbit, Nickel Creek and a bit of Mighty Mahogany. Every song on the album is fantastic! It's hard to find an album where every song is a good one. You usually want to fast forward one or two. I think I will make a new list soon: 5 albums where every song is a listener. Anyway, pick up Mumford and Sons "Sigh No More". Get it now, thank me later!

Great Read

I just finished a great zombie read! Probably the best I have read. It chronicles a lone survivor and his daily experiences. In this one, the zombies are shown as the biggest threat. I hate the books that show other surviving groups as the biggest threat. They get a bit too harrowing. This one was just right.

Happy Birthday, Max!

I can't believe our little guy is turning 6! He is the sweetest thing in the world! Max (as we mentioned last week) is a builder. He loves to work with his hands. He is also very in-tune to other people's feelings and wants everyone to be happy. We need to get him some guy friends. He hangs around with his harem of about 5 girls. They all love him. We celebrated his birthday this past week down at the ranch. It was a great little trip. Happy birthday, Max!

One crazy dude!

Hope you are watching Survivor this season! Phillip has to be the craziest, funniest, greatest character ever on this show. Each week he gets better and better! I would love to see him take the million!

Max the Engineer

Max is our little engineer--if there is something to build or draw, he's got the talent. He seems to know how to use his hands well. I love this age when our kids begin to demonstrate things they are good at. It makes me wonder what they will be when they grow up.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

I am proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This weekend we have heard from a living prophet of God--President Thomas S. Monson. It is a time for me to reevaluate my life and look for ways to be a better person. I have a testimony that God lives and that His son Jesus Christ is my redeemer. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It was translated by His prophet of the Restoration, Joseph Smith. All of my blessings in life come from God. My family has been sealed together by the authority of the priesthood and we will be together forever. They are the greatest blessing in my life. I hope this testimony finds its way to someone that needs to hear it and brings them closer to the Savior.
