First Day of School

This year we sent off ALL four kids! That's a first for us. Brynn is just going two days a week for a couple hours (preschool). Here's hoping for a great year for all of them!

Adam (3rd grade), Kyson (neighbor), Kam (5th grade), and Max (1st grade-he's a little shrimp!)

So I am feeling quite a bit better and hope to be out of this infection funk. I see the doctor on Friday for a final analysis, but things are looking good--there's no puss! For those who have not had the experience of laying down on your side or stomach for about three weeks straight, trust me, you are not missing out on something that should be on a bucket list. It's hard to read from that angle, so thankfully I had my laptop from school to keep me busy. Here's a list of what I watched:

1 and 1/2 seasons of Friends

Oceans 11, 12, and 13 (loved 12 so much more this go around)

Surgey Success--for now

The surgery went well today. They got out all the infection so I did not have to stay the night. I am just lying down and trying once again to recuperate. I really want to get strength back quickly so I can be in my classroom on Tuesday.

Surgery Again

The surgery I had on my tailbone last week went well (at least the tailbone WAS removed), but I came down with an infection. So I have to go in for surgery again on Thursday to clear out the infection. And I will be wearing a pickline for the next two weeks.

Stir Crazy

Had the surgery on Thursday and everything went as well as could hope. Now I'm high on percocet and going absolutely crazy! I have been laying on my side or stomach for the past 5 days and I think I might die of boredom. I don't know how bedridden people do it. Lindsay is at the dinosaur museum with the kids. I actually tried getting out today, but couldn't make it more than a few hundred yards--I thought the stitches were going to rip. Hate this.

Surgery...

Tomorrow I'm getting my coccyx removed! It's been a pain in my butt for far too long. I'm a bit nervous and I hate surgery. So wish me luck!

Emperor's New Clothes

Well, the run is over and I am so proud of this show! We had a near perfect cast, a great group of writers and producers and the best directing experience I have ever had. I will really miss this group of kids.
